Hey everyone! I haven't been on here for almost a year so I might as well introduce myself again :P
You can call me Samantha! I'm a MtF who's still working on coming out. I've known I was transgender for over a year at this point but I've been feeling dysphoric since I was about 10. I really tried to ignore it but the longer it went on the stronger the dysphoria got and I just had to figure out what was going on. Once I learned what being transgender was I knew it was exactly what I needed to hear.
Coming out has been a very rough process for me but thankfully I have a group of very supportive friends, but I can't say the same about my parents. Hopefully here I can get the support I need and meet some like minded individuals! :)

Hi Samantha,
A big Aussie welcome to Susan's family. It's good of you to drop back in again and say "Hi". Hope you like it here, and you stay for a while longer this time.
There is a mountain of information, resources and friendship waiting for you here, you just need to jump in start talking and ask any question you like. You're quite safe here and we are very accepting.
Are you getting any medical/counseling support at all? Your supportive friends are the ones you need, so treat them well.
Looking forward to hearing more of your story in time to come, but in the meantime, be safe, well and happy.
Lotsa huggs
Catherine

Thank you very much!
My parents don't support medical treatment at all, but hopefully when I'm 18 I can work to pay for my own transition or at just help them financially with it. I do go to my school's Gay.straight-transgender alliance meetings and occasionally a group that operates in my hometown but I'm not getting any sort of therapy (because again, my parents don't really support it).
I'd gladly talk about my story here and I can't wait to start posting and hearing from others who are going through similar experiences :)
