So I'm looking into training my voice before I start any hormones, so I was wondering are there any good guides out there, I've seen a few youtube videos but, its kinda hard understand what the girls in the videos are trying to get at, I'm a little dull ::)

I was looking at that, too. Apparently, there's an iPhone app that someone designed specifically for transwomen to work on femininity their voice. I'll see if I can dig it up.
I also ran into Jaime Young's website which offered tons of feminization tips, but was also selling a book on it, too. Does anybody have any experience with her stuff? The free tips I've seen are good.

I'm a big proponent of finding a voice personal therapist. THIS is one the biggest things that can make or break a successful transition and given how much you will spend on your gender change, this will be a small %. I think I ended up spending about $1200 total for 6 months of coaching and it was far and away the best time/money I spent on my transition. A really good voice can cover up a lot of other stuff that might not be "passable". I start -right off- talking to people and instantly they hear female, so that is how they gender me.

For YouTube the best resources seem to be Andrea James finding your female voice and candifla's videos. I'm doing some fyfv right now and I'm actually amazed at how it eases you into the female speaking voice.

Personally I will go for a professional to help me with voice training, failing that, and funding permitted I shall look into Yeson treatments.
Did try following online video's but always end up croaking... Managing pitch can be a problem and certainly is for me.
