Hi Folks.
I'm Marty (or you can call me Samantha, Sammi :-* ;))
I just recently bought some make-up, a bra, a panty, and a wig online the other day. This is going to be my first time trying on woman's cloths and cross-dressing. Hope it all goes well. I cant wait for them to come in so I can try them on. I'll try my best to post updates/ possibly pictures of how it will turn out. If anyone has any great tips, I'd love to here them.
Thanks all

Hi Marty :D
I'm glad that your time ... as it is a relatively large step in your crossdressing ... I believe most of us go through something similar, and we can say how important it is for you ;D ...
If I could give advice to ... "you do not be so severe with himself" :-\ ... I say this, because we begin to see flaws in our crossdressing and try to resolve quickly :-\ ... but improvements come with time :)...
I wish a good luck ;D ... and you feel accomplished at this moment of transformation  ...

This will be a pretty large step for you it sounds like. I remember the first time I tried something on.. I was about 6 years old. Got caught standing in my older sister's room wearing a full outfit. I didn't mean anything perv by it... I just thought they were pretty and wanted to try them on lol.. Now when I look in the mirror as myself.. I remember them laughing at me. Crazy how something like that can scar you.
When you look in the mirror for the first time.. be nice to yourself. Don't create any bad habits and don't judge ANYTHING the first time. Or the second. Or even third. Just look at yourself and try to improve everything you see. Even the parts you might think you like at the moment. After a month or so.. you're going to look in that mirror and think "dayum I feel smexy today."
You're going to be your own worst critic. Be careful what you think of yourself when you see yourself. Hating the image in the mirror really is a terrible thing early on. I've been working on my femme side for about 4 months I believe.. and am just now starting to smile back at myself and think "yunno.. I can do this"
So can you!
I'm ALWAYS excited to try on my new things omg! I got a gift certificate for vic's secret from my older sister for xmas (the one who laughed my self esteem into a coma at 6). Can't wait to see what's waiting for me to try on in there! :D
Number one thing to remember when you're putting your new things on... HAVE A BLAST DARLIN! :D :D :D

Thanks ladies,
This is really nice advice. I know I'm ready to face the man in the mirror and watch a beautiful lady emerge. I'm already used to seeing a large out of shape male, so the way I see it is that I can only go up from here. I'll post a picture update once I can finally get my stuff in.
Love,
Marty (Sammi)

My favorite part of dressing up is when I buy something new like a dress or a skirt or even something as simple as a woman's swimsuit. Even just wearing a new pair of boy short panties makes me feel so liberating.

Thanks folks,
I have just started getting some of my stuff I ordered in. I got a make up kit with about 100 different colors in in it. about a dozen is lip gloss and the rest is mascara. I'm so giddy with excitement to finally try it on. I'll def take some photos and show of my skills (or terrible first attempt). As for some woman's cloths, I just went for bra and panties for now. Once I can get the lovely image of that in my head, I'll head to a thrift store for more clothing.

So I got the panties I ordered in and they were a little different from what I expected lol. When I tried it on and forgot about my male parts. Didn't exactly look right lol. oops guess I need to look for custom ones instead. Also they were padded in the back. defiantly weird lol.
Still very fun to try on. This must be what all of you get out of it. I can't wait to lose some weight to get into some really good looking girly clothes. All good learning experiences right now

"This must be what all of you get out of it."
I'm trans. I don't really get a rush from putting the things on. I just feel like I'm finally ME when I'm wearing it all.
For your manbits.. google "tucking." Should clear a few things up.
That padding in the rear.. Get used to it. In fact, if you want to continue I'd suggest throwing away any concerns of ever being "comfortable" lol.. pain is beauty. From corsets to tucking to getting clocked while you figure it all out.

Yes......tucking is something you need to master if you are to deal with the male parts. Its really quite easy when you get used to it. Once you do, then most panties are ok. Discovering the woman within you and giving her (you) freedom is a journey. I hope you enjoy every step along the way.

I finally went and bought woman's clothes ;D! I'm kind of on a budget, but I was able to get a tight mini skirt and a beautiful silky long sleeved top. The skirt is black with ridge like pattern on it. The top is a beautiful maroon with an extra layer near the top. It also droops to one side which goes nicely with my hips. Honestly they feel so natural and comfy. They really are the first steps in becoming a woman; and I'm proud to have finally reached this level. Also I tried it on with my wig. I look really cute and I feel this is now gonna be a part of me. I'll post some pictures later, as I'm not sure how to get them off my ipod lol. Thanks for all of the kind advice from everyone in helping me get this far :-* ;D

Enjoy and practice!!
I remember talking to my hairdresser and complaining that I didn't know how to change styles etc and she said something very wise. cisgirls stay in their bedroom from 13-17 and practice makeup, hair etc, then walk out with all the skills , as late comers we just need to keep practicing.
One thing about clothes, look at other women your age and note what they are wearing and follow a similar style. Wearing clothes that are 'too young' for you will make you stand out in public. Of course at home we can, and do, whatever we like!
Hugs young lady.

Thanks for the advice cindy,
Yea I got to start practicing with make up, but I'm still missing like half of what I need :'( once I finally do get it all I can't wait to see how pretty I will look
As for the clothes, I think that they should be what girls my age wear. They look fashionable to me lol

I've tried on my mom's dresses in secret before, random female Halloween costumes during the season, and other random items over the years. This week I actually went online and ordered my first outfit from a female clothing store. I was super excited to try it on and see how it would make me feel because I've had so many questions recently about whether I may be trans or just fluid in my gender.
I was disappointed to find that I still just look like a boy in girl's clothes. I'm not sure what I expected but I saw my body hair and broad shoulders and facial structure and I just wasn't as happy as I thought I would be.
This post definitely made me feel a little better. I'm sitting here in my crop top, skirt, and leggings from Charlotte Russe and I will just give it all more time if the thoughts and questions keep being a part of my life. I'll try new things like makeup or breast forms or shaving/waxing and seeing how it goes.
There isn't a rush for the time being. Just wanted to say thank you to the people in this discussion.

hi adumava.
Yea some of the responses on here have been really knowledgeable and helpful to me. I had the same feeling to looking at myself in wonans clothes. Felt kind of out outta place. The next time I tried them on I not only felt better, but they made me feel like I could be a woman. It's all a mental thing when trying on clothes. Some stuff you look at and say wow this is beautiful; but when you try them on you just have that look on your face like ugh this just looks hideous on me. It makes shopping interesting in a way.
Wearing mens clothes, if was like ya that looks nice and should fit fine. Pants have ever been my hardest thing to gauge. For woman's clothes its all over the place. Now you gotta match colors, designs, matching accessories all while making sure they not only fit, but correctly and hide your manliness too.
Not gonna lie it's exhausting lol. Good luck and keep trying on stuff.

Women's clothing is such a pain! My shirts for example range from XS to L, and there is no consistency at all! I found that once you really know your sizes and styles you can utilize sizing charts on most websites when ordering clothes online. For a long time I was so nervous I would just go to goodwill and grab whatever I liked and figured it was close, that way if it didnt fit i didnt waste a bunch of money. If you are brave enough, definitely try stuff on at the store if you can! It will definitely save you money, which means more clothes!

Thanks for the new advice folks.
@Rotika not too bad for a first time. I gotta still post my pictures of trying on my clothes and make up on here. Gotta find the time to post them. Just yesterday I did what I'd say is full make over session and even did my nails. Being all dressed up it just felt so real. Like I couldn't what the mirror was showing. It'll be even better when I can get more make up and try on new clothes. Always brings a smile to my face looking at the pictures
