Title: Can you be too excited?
Post by: AbeLane on January 12, 2015, 09:08:55 PM
So I dunno if this is just me, but I worry that sometimes I'm a little too excited when someone calls me "sir" or whatever. Like I'm so excited about being gendered the way I want to be, that it seems a bit weird for the other person. Like maybe I'm outing myself by being so excited. Seriously, sometimes I feel like on the verge of leaping into the air. I try to play it down. Maybe after I pass more consistently it won't be such a big deal. Has anyone else experienced this?

It is a confidence booster for sure.

It just blends into natural life in time.

It's certainly a great experience. Don't think I've ever first pumped the air though. ;)

Yep.

I remember going through the same thing years ago. I would always end up with a silly grin on my face. :D But, in time, it just becomes part of everyday life.

Enjoy it!

Being trans sucks in so many ways, but one thing we have that cis people never will is the euphoria of finally seeing ourselves the way we know we should be. Nothing is like it (though I haven't tried heroin).
