Title: Consult with Dr Meltzer
Post by: Beth Andrea on January 14, 2015, 05:40:42 PM
Late May...

Never had a consult before...can anyone tell me what to expect, how long it will take, etc?

Also if anyone had SRS with him and is willing to share the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Thanks!

I had FFS with him; he was very thorough during my consult, but you may find it helpful to make a list of questions/concerns you may have. I think my consult took about 40 minutes. I know 5 ladies personally, who had their SRS done by Dr. Meltzer, and they all were pleased with their results. Best wishes  :)

Like you Beth I'm going down in the later part of May for my consult. This in the tabs related to the procedure and even though it mentions the one in general it would apply to any procedure with him I would think. I know I'm going to make a list of things I need to say or ask, but just like you I have know idea beyond that as to what to expect. I would imagine it will be similar to any other pre operative visit I have ever had though.

This piece is under the additional info tab under consulation/ pre operative visit.
Dr. Meltzer will spend as much time with you as you need at your consultation. Due to each individual's unique needs and list of questions, it is difficult to determine how much time a patient may need for their consultation. As a result, you may find that you appointment time is delayed. We recommend that you bring something to read or work on for this reason. We do keep the lobby stocked with current magazines. If you wish to discuss additional procedures at the time of your vaginoplasty consultation (i.e.: facial feminization), please contact our scheduler well in advance so additional time can be allotted for your consultation.
