Title: Time sure flies when you're having fun
Post by: Beth Andrea on January 16, 2015, 09:50:12 PM
I was filling out some forms today, and one question was, "How long have you been living full time?" (Defined as legal name change; out to friends, family, work; 24/7 presenting as preferred gender; shopping, traveling, etc)

For me, that was 12 June 2012, when I got my name changed. I counted the months, and I got 31!!!

Wow, that was a fast 2 1/2 years! Much much happier now than then, many here might remember the anguish I talked about in my blog (now removed)...

Anyone else notice the time go by?

So you were twenty six and a half then!  :)

Hugs, Devlyn

Since I turned 18, (many years ago), time has flew by like a rocket. I will be 40 in a few years (chronologically speaking. :D psychologically? It's a lot younger than that. :D) But, it seems like after you turn 18, time speeds by really quick. Even though there have been some bumps in the road here and there (from '06 to '12, but for different reasons), adulthood has been far better than my childhood/teen years were.

my therapist and I were talking about how long I've been with her in therapy . I was thinking one year and she looked on the computer and informed me it was two years last November, to borrow a phrase someone just used in another thread  " holy crap batman".

I'm only a year and a half, but seems like an eternity. I can barely remember what my life was like as a man.

What is this "man" thing of which you speak?

;)

I'm very glad that my memory of that time is dim enough that it doesn't cause pain anymore...

And yes Devlyn, I am *still* 28...! (Although there are times when my 50 yo body would beg to differ...LOL)

;)

I highly suggest being born on Leapyear. I will be 9 and 3/4 on the cusp of Feb and March.

Interestingly, I'm told via rumor mill that my SRS doc has a 14 month waiting list...which would make it about the end of Feb 2016, which is a leap year...and the 29th is a Monday!
