Title: Just started a T blocker what should I expect
Post by: immortal gypsy on January 22, 2015, 04:41:37 AM
As my T levels are not dropping as fast as my Dr would like, he has now put me on a T-blocker. Yay more meds for me this girl really now shakes rattles and rolls :P, but if it works I'm not complaining about the increase in the monthly bill (much). Now my pharmacist doesn't think it should react with my anti convulsents and we're starting slow just to make sure. I've read the pamphlet that comes inside the box so I sort of know what to expect, however every little bit helps. Should I rush to a doctor if I start to get a massive craving for pickles covered with cheese and chocolate sauce or would that be normal just not written down

Arguably the most effective AA. Can cause depression in some although comparatively rare, also rare liver toxicity, which is why the FDA doesn't like it. If depression it hits it is like walking into a wall, just be aware and seek medic advice ASAP.

It is by far the favourite of the Aussie endos though.

If depression or anxiety does hit, just go off it and see the endo, they will put you on Spiro, which can have more physiological side effects particularly low BP.

The invoice is in the mail, I usually bulk bill but there is a $20 fee for short consults
