Title: First formal event as a full time female Valentines day!
Post by: carrie359 on January 23, 2015, 02:59:46 PM
Ok so I get FFS Dec 18th....still recovering.. but doing well.  Seems my neck area swelling is the biggest issue and the two bruises below my eyes are hard to hide with makeup... so I have to overdue it a bit..anyway thats the update on FFS
So, my wife and I are divorcing... but we are together all the time we work together and watch tv in the evenings together and do dinner every night... then I go to my house a few houses down the street and go to bed.
Well, I have been informed that our best friends a married couple has invited us to go to a ballet ... event on Valentine's day evening.
So here I am newly full time loving jeans and decent shirts kind of dressing like a tom boy and thanking God its winter so I can wear a coat at the stores.  Sure I pass totally but its all so new to me.
So, now I have to dress up for a formal event.. OMG... I will definitely have to have a drink that night.. I will be nervous.
Also instead of doing my hair extensions on Feb 27th now I am getting them on February 5th and a makeover.. so I will post pics of that for sure.
The ironic thing is that I am going with my wife, my soon to be ex but soul mate and best friend ever.. I love her so dearly.
I transitioned fast... to full time in just over a year... did not plan it that way for sure... but it is what it is.
I love being real.. the real person I am.. it is very stressful though and now I have new fears and stress... but I know in time I will settle in to a new normal and all will be good.
Take care chicks,
Keri :)

This is awesome Carrie! I am very happy for you. I think it is awesome how you and your wife have worked things out, I hope and pray all of us can have a similar experience. I wouldn't worry to much I am sure you will be stunning that night. Have fun and again thank you.

Hey Kelli,
It has been so hard for her.. seriously cried a lot of tears.. she loved the dude I was and we had basically a perfect marriage... I always took care of her and my family.  I gave up a lot to be me... but gained freedom.. There are those new stresses we deal with when we go full time.
After FFS I took a nearly full bottle of painkillers and put on the shelf and never looked back when I did not need them anymore.  The old me would have look two per night to feel good and had a vodka on top of that.... I self medicated but am lucky that I am not an addictive personality at all.
I don't need to numb myself now.. nothing to hide from... the thing we really can't hide from is ourselves.. and I sure tried for a long time,
Love
Keri
