Title: A binder to relax in?
Post by: BlueGemFox on January 24, 2015, 05:55:11 AM
So, I'm facing a bit of a problem. I absolutely love wearing my underworks binder day in day out, but since ive started T i have been experiencing extreme dysphoria with my chest as I am still a massive E cup. I started noticing I'm wearing my binder longer and longer, up to 12 hours and more as i dread even taking it off. I know its quite unsafe wearing it that long but i love my flat chest.

Its there by chance a possible binder to use when relaxing at home? one where you can wear for long amounts of time with little risk? It doesnt even have to bond as strongly as my outing binder, just something I can use to feel super comfortable in while making my chest significantly smaller? or something i can turn into a simple binder? Id greatly appreciate suggestions

Well I wear the underworks tri top binder, it's so comfortable that I even wear it to bed without having that crushing my ribs feeling.

I did actually get the Tri top after some suggestions for a work binder. It feels like a huge mistake for me. I got the right size and as soon as I put on the Tri top, I'm just in a horrible world of pain, yet my Ultimate chest binder is super comfortable.
Actually, I cant use the tri top, is there a place i can donate it too? (perferably Australia)

Something like this may work:

I wore the above over my binders when I was trying to get flatter.  It is more comfortable than a binder and will keep you flatter around the house.  Sometimes that is what I did.

The below is another one I see they have now.

It looks like it might be a bit stronger and subsequently less comfortable than the one I posted.

I have a maximum compression sports bra in a size too small which I got from a running store and it works really well...I usually wear it under my binder to keep everything in place but it's comfortable enough to wear on it's own if you're just relaxing at home. Its from a company called Fiona (it's for girls, doesn't bother me too much personally).

I wear an older, looser binder to relax, work, and sleep in. I old wear the tighter ones if I'm wearing tighter clothes and stuff. Underworks also makes a sports bra. Or you could look in to a compression bra like Zukhlo.

I mostly second the cotton concealer tank from Underworks.  Once I got mine to the right size it's comfy enough to sleep in.  I wear it all day with no problems.  It's my main binder now actually.  I'm pretty small so I can't vouch for how well it works or how it might feel for you.  I find it itchy though... just a bit.

It's probably best if you don't wear one to sleep in. If you feel nervous re: other members of the family (or just seeing yourself) change right in bed with lights out. When I see this I worry about you guys breakign ribs and so forth. Perhaps a sports bra or compression top or something like that?
