Hi, I just stumbled across this site and am trying to check it all out... I am a biological female that has identified as a lesbian since around the age of 15 or 16 ... I am 58 now and my story is very long and complicated, certainly too much to get into now... I have just recently started to realize and believe that I am female in body only... I finally started the conversation with my therapist through emails I send her often when I want to tell her difficult things I don't know if I can bring up in session or if I am extremely upset...A couple weeks ago after I had written her she decided that it is something I need to talk about now...The first time we went overtime a little and I found myself extremely exhausted at the end of the day.. My head was just racing.... She told me she thinks I need to address it a little slowly as I have been keeping all these things inside of me for so many years... Things were so different when I was young and you never ever saw or heard anything about transgender people.... Things have changed and I am amazed at the stories I see both on TV or articles about mostly transgender youth... I am somewhat angry that I may have not really lived my life and confused about what to do at this point... I just got married to a woman early last year... I am scared, confused and just not knowing what I can or will do at this age... I just wanted to say hi and say that I am glad that I found this site to explore further... :-\

We do live in a time of increasing acceptance, and it is hard for girls and boys joining the site and meeting so many wonderful trans*women and trans*men and thinking 'What have I missed out on?'
Well now it is your time to come out of your shell and have a wonderful life. I transitioned when I was 58 after a cursed life; now, four years later? My life is a dream come true. As yours can be.
Hugs

Welcome ConfusedOne. I also identified as a lesbian from the time I was a teenager until I finally admitted that I am trans 25 years later.
There is a lot of good people and information here.

Hi "confusedone," join the club. New here myself.
Hey we are thinking we should be in the opposite sexes bodies. For me though not always but often or mostly..
So glad your are using therapy and discussing. I am going to start I think in time, not to transition but for me and wife to understand better. I am definitely in the wrong body much of the time.
Just a thought to consider. The most moment you think about this and the epiphany happens is the beginning of your life. Make the right decision over some time an if you want this and it all makes sense. Run like you stole it and don't look bad.
I get upset sometimes but you know I am so lucky and believe all happens for a reason.
Stay in touch. Vanny
