Title: Dr. Kate Thomas, Gender Therapist near Baltimore MD
Post by: suzifrommd on January 31, 2015, 01:39:47 PM
I realize I never posted the name of my gender therapist. Her name is Kate Thomas. She is an amazing therapist, and really understands trans people of all types. She's been very supportive of my "non-standard" gender and very knowledgeable. Pre-transition I really didn't need her that much, since I was getting all the info I had to here. But she's really helped me navigate the post transition world.

I would highly recommend her to anyone within driving distance. Her office is just north of Baltimore Maryland. Please PM me if there is more you want to know.

There are a lot of REALLY BAD therapists in the Baltimore area. In fact Dr. Thomas shares a practice with two other gender therapists whom I've gone to see and I would suggest staying away from both of them.

Also, don't let yourself be thrown by the fact that she's affiliated with Johns Hopkins. She's one of the good ones. (But never, never go to their Sexual Behaviors Unit.)
