Title: Employer Policies on Transition at work....
Post by: Alana_Jane on February 03, 2015, 02:26:55 PM
About a week ago I talked with my local HR rep about transitioning at work.  At this point I'm the first to attempt this in several years.  One item she asked me to do was research what other organizations policies and best practices are.  What ever you're willing and able to share, I'd appreciate it.  Thank you.

This has been a healthy guide for our HR director at work. However, I live in Canada and the laws protecting Transgender here a pretty good so you may need to consult your state laws about specific legislation when transitioning.

Love yah sis and good luck!

The transgender law center has an excellent sample policy.

Thank you April.
It's way more complete than the policy I've found, and goes into much more detail concerning best practices.
Love you too Sis,

Thanks Jess,
Lol, I found the link to my policy in the first page footer.  For completeness it's:

Love you too,
