Yesterday. I was thinking about the way we're often treated by cis people and came to a revelation. The dysphoria we often feel, brought on by the discrepancy between our inner truth and our outer appearance or by lingering traits that ruin our presentation in our own minds, may well be the same feeling cis people have when they notice those same discrepancies or when they find out that we weren't born as what they plainly see before them. Does this sound right to anyone else?
I thought of this while talking to my PCP. When I first came out to him he had difficulty with it. The next time I saw him he told me he had been dubious but I seemed better. Yesterday he told me I was the happiest he had ever seen me. I told him I still had troubles and he told me that if I didn't he would hate me. I know he was joking. :D
