Title: The use of feminine pronouns in public

A social worker I am working with recommended that I start asking people to refer to me as female. While I am all for this, I am unsure on how to approach this properly especially at work. The people at work have been very supportive of my manner of dress but I'm unsure on how they would react to such a request. My close friends will very likely be fine with it. Any advice on the subject would be appreciated.

You could try sort of correcting people. When they use he the first time you see them, say something like "Could you please use female pronouns, for me, from now on?"
Or you could ask HR to help by sending a mass email stating you are transitioning and proper pronoun usage (as well as bathroom use) is expected.
The parenthetical is just an idea, I don't know your situation when it comes to that.

That's another thing, how to handle bathroom use in public. I'll look it up later for wear I live.
