Has anyone experienced mood changes after going on hormones? I know the popular wisdom is that estrogen will unbalance you, but nobody's quite sure if this is caused by chemistry, psychology, or both--or if it really happens at all. I've been on estradiol injections for about six weeks and every time I get crabby or teary-eyed, I can't help but wonder. What has your experience been?

Yep it sure does. I just upped my dose of E and got depressed last night and today. It levels out over time though unless you change your levels of hormones.

Im more "moody" on HRT than I was off... but on that same note, Im nowhere ear as depressed, and most deffinatly less tempremental... I used to have a very short fuse and grow angry easly... So what if I break down crying over the ocasional small thing... but atleast I can smile, and atleast Im not an angry dark tempered person all the time anymore :D

Going on five weeks for me. I don't have a short fuse anymore. I do get teary when things don't go my way. The temper tantrums has stop.
The Girl's i been hanging out with said i have been acting like they did when they got there training bra. I'm definitely Giddy.
I did get light headed the other day for the first time which i think was because it was 100 degrees out and i was not drinking water like i should of been.
No feeling of depression which I am very grateful..
