Title: Painful Erections
Post by: Ashey on February 22, 2015, 02:35:33 AM
So, I've been off my meds for a couple weeks due to poor financial planning on my part. Or rather, I'm spacing my doses out to the point where at least my t-blocker isn't as effective as it should be. My issue right now is that I've been getting 'morning wood' again for a few days and it's painful. I don't do any elaborate tucking, just pull it back, and I think because of doing that for over a year now it's changed a bit. I know when I do get hard, the shape of my penis has changed. It's curved, almost bent, when it used to be straight. When I wake up with an erection, it hurts when I try moving it, so I can't really reposition it so I'm more comfortable. Is there anything I can do? I don't think 'not tucking it' will work and it's not really a viable option anyway. Am I just going to have to deal with it until I'm back on my meds? My friend suggested masturbation when that happens but.. ehh. That seems awkward and unappealing. My boyfriend already thinks I'm 'reverting', and even though he's just joking, I don't need to weird him out.. :/

So you go to sleep tucked?

Hey Ashey!

Yeah I still get painful erections and I'm on a full hrt regimen. There's not much you can do about it other than going to see a urologist and see what they say. From what I've been reading, surgery is what is usually done to fix the erectile tissue which I personally couldn't do. I think there are some stretching techniques you can use but not sure if that can fix it. I'm at a complete loss, its been pretty frustrating for me personally since its super painful so it makes having sex almost impossible. I can't wait to have surgery...

Just pulled back slightly to fit in my panties better. It's not very big anyway. I've been trying to flip it up the other way though, it's a bit more comfortable but awkward.

I've had the same thing happen to me too (and some friends have said the same) Pretty sure it's just from lack of use. I've found that if I use it twice a week it will maintain shape and not be painful, and 3+ times per week will bring it back towards original shape.

I hope you get your meds back soon. I was going to post something similar. It is great to have people here that understand these problems.

I too have experienced morning wood recently with some soreness. For some reason, the erections have been harder recently, and I do think the pain was due to over stretching. Soreness is mostly gone now because my body appears to be adjusting to "use". Problem for me is I have been on the same dose for months. I don't know why erections have come back ???. Reverting is a scary thought.

I used to get discomfort and certainly a curved erection many, many moons ago... It will pass... Certainly don't suffer anymore ( struggle to even find it now  8) )

Used to always wear undies at night and "loosely" pull back leaving the undies to hold in place... Aah life's good now...

It does depend on how long you've been on the HRT program I guess... I had to take a slight break a few years ago, like 6-8 weeks... No issues, could find it again for a while  but no early rises or discomfort... Think way past that...

I have been on hrt for about half a year and no morning wood at all and I don't miss it. However, I'm just surprised that  some of the ladies tuck at night. I guess I didn't care coz no one is with me lol it might be a different story once I'm with someone :-)

Yeah... it's not really tucking, just.. pulled back slightly so there's not as much bulge. I largely attribute it to being stealth, and living with roommates and my boyfriend. I try to minimize the appearance of it when I'm around him and I always make sure to tuck enough when I leave the bedroom. I guess it just becomes habit. Anyway I guess for now I can just try to use it more often and maybe wear loose shorts and no panties when I sleep. Hopefully it helps. Just one more week though until I can get back on my meds...

Due to NHS clerical issues I'm two months overdue for my t blocker jab, I've never before looked forward to having a needle jabbed into me.
In spite of regular "stretching" it has shrunk.
Whilst the flesh and skin have shrunk the tip has not so erections can be uncomfortably tight, also the tip is becoming increasingly sensitive and can become painful, it's just a blessing I've still got my foreskin for protection or it would likely be unbearable.
I'm going to use this to my advantage when I visit my GIC in six weeks and use it as justification for having my GRS completed as soon as possible.

I have perionies from self mutilation prior to HRT, when I was younger. When it was erect there was pain because the scar tissue restricted and got tight. Now being on HRT for 20 months an erection is very painful. I am glad erections are not frequent.

I used to get the same thing but for whatever reason, I don't get morning wood anymore. I wish I could help.
