Just wanted to drop a quick intro post before I started interacting.
So, I'm a 28-year-old-sapiosexual-FTM-pre-everything. That's not the most important bit though. I'm also a person. I expect many of you can understand why that's an important distinction to make. I've dealt with/deal with people who seems to forget on a regular basis that being a person means that there is more to me than the way I identify and/or express my gender.
I'm fond of reading sci-fi/fantasy/horror, good music, films, intelligent conversation, quantum mechanics, rural living and video games. I'm lucky enough to have found my love and we lead a pretty flippin' awesome life in the middle of SW Virginia and will soon be getting married. I currently make my living as an artist/graphic designer. I'm also an activist for both LGBT and environmental issues.
Truth be told I feel kinda old to be just now starting on this journey but it wasn't until pretty recently that I was shown that transfolk could lead happy lives. Havinggrown up in only just recently extracated myself from the Southern Baptist churches of Georgia one can see how that might be the case.
I'm trilled to have found an online community that feels safe and accepting so thanks to all of you for creating that space here.
Much love to all of you awesome folks.

Hi Fenn!!!
A big warm welcome to Susan's Place! It's always nice to welcome another brother to our ever growing family.. You will find many wonderful people who are either going through or have gone through the same feelings you are. There are some great resources available here. Everything is right at your finger tips so pull up a chair, relax and let your fingers do the walking. I look forward to seeing you around the forums. I wish you the best of luck on your journey and may the Angels look upon you and help guide you on your journey...!
Much Love,
Melissa Ann

28 is by no means old to start, I wish I had when I was your age even. Many of us started at older than that.
Welcome to Susan's.

Hi Fenn, welcome to Susan's Place! I'm a Bostonian. I enjoy snow, shoveling snow, and griping endlessly about the snow and the shoveling. See you around the site!

Welcome to Susans!
Don't fret about age. You're never too old to be happy.
My southern baptist upbringing made it hard for me as well. I grew up in the military but my family was very staunchly baptist and there's a very certain level of self questioning that can come from that. My family is from Deep South Kentucky and it took me years of being away from home to deal with my issues in that regard.
Take a look around and make yourself comfortable.
