Title: Laser hair removal following surgery
Post by: Muffinheart on February 26, 2015, 06:03:50 AM
I'd like to hear any experiences relating to laser hair removal on the....ummmm...vag.
Next week I'm six months post op, have healed nicely, and my documents for recovery say I can get laser hair removal now.

I've had waxing down there before, but...ummm...not there there....if you know what I mean.

Thanks so much

Nina

Being 23 days post-op right now, all I can say is OUCH! Best wishes  ;)

Sounds like a very painful experience.  I'd be very interested to hear if anyone had done so too.

I've had genital laser but was pre op when it happened :) EMLA or other topical anesthetics take care of the pain element in nearly all places. There was one really painful spot but that only needed 2 shots so I made her do that last  ;D The whole area took about 8 sessions and now apart from a few hairs the laser missed or couldn't get I'm hair free including my bikini line

I'd say if you're healed then the laser won't be anything compared to SRS, The other thing is it only takes 10 minutes to get a whole session out the way.

Hugs

Sorcha  ;D

I would say just watch the scar lines. It could cause them to discolor.

Personally i prefer electrolysis for those more personal delicate areas.

More control.

I guess maybe I'm vain, or nervous, but only two people have been under the "hood" since surgery. I'm trying to summon up courage to even ask an electrologists or laser specialist to consider doing it.
Interesting you say to watch the scar lines. Never thought of that.
Should I wait a bit longer? It's been six months.
