Title: Strange feelings?

So I've only been on E for just under 2 weeks and recently over the last few days I get this overwhelming feeling or sensation that radiates through my body and sometimes triggers a panic attack. Almost as if my brain immediately thinks things are shutting down and goes into panic mode. Everytime I've felt fine after it subsided.
There is no physical pain felt, just a rush of 'something' that ends up freaking me out.
Anyone else get these 'rushes' during your first few weeks on E? I'll definitely bring it up with my doctor, but wanted to see if this is somewhat common.
PS: I literally had this feeling moments before typing this post and now I feel fine again.

Hi Stephanie,
I was about 5 or 6 weeks on HRT and I started to feel the effects. Make sure you are drinking 8-12 glasses of water per day if you are on spironolactone. Perhaps cutting down on caffeine if you drink a lot of coffee. Also, giving your Doctors office a call is a good thing to do too.

Do you feel nauseous, or feel like you need to lay/kneel down? Do you have any pins-and-needles tingling sensations in your fingers or toes?

I drink about 2 litre (64oz) per day minimum. And 1 6-8oz cup of coffee in the morning.

Never feel nauseous, and if I'm up when the "panicky" feeling start, I feel the need to lay but if I'm laying down I feel the need to get up. LOL
I only get tingling in my nipples, and that's recent as well, but not yet had it in my fingers and toes.

What hormones are you taking? It may also be you are reacting to the change you are undergoing, psychologically speaking, even if welcomed. Change, positive or negative, is always stressful. You are going through a major change in your life.

I'm on Estrace (Estradiol) and Spiro.
I was mainly curious if anyone else experienced similar feelings in the very early stages of HRT.

I didn't feel anything. I had no physical changes. I thought something was terribly wrong. But I kept it up. I did develop a little breast tissue after surgery, but other than that, I've unfortunately never felt the wonderful changes that so many express. But then again, I can take prescription pain medication and I feel nothing either. I'm just different than everyone else.

I'n not had those feelings, but I have a a few others. When something odd happens, I usually stop taking one of the medications I think might be responsible for a while and see what happens - not sure if you're meant to do that or not, since with some medications you're supposed to taper off. I stopped progesterone a couple of days ago as I was getting depressed. I'll start again and see it comes back. I'd not stop the estrogen though, that does me nothing but good. Spiro I tend to worry about.
It might be a good idea to consult your doctor about it.
