This piece isn't about trans* people, but it does a good job at shedding light on female stereotypes and how we tend to conflate gender expression and sexual orientation. The author makes the point that "I'm a woman just by virtue of knowing that I'm a woman." And I think there is some food for thought there for those of us worrying that we'll never be "a girly girl" or a "manly man".
