If you are taking spiro, have your blood pressure checked to see if it is low. Spiro is primarily used as a blood pressure medicine so it can lower your blood pressure to hypotensive levels. What you are describing is one of the symptoms of low blood pressure.

Once your testosterone levels drops your metabolism slows down. You burn off calories less efficiently, your appetite can decrease and you need more sleep.
After the initial shock to the system wears off it gets better and you can get by on 8 hours a night. After 3 years on HRT I can now manage on the occasional night with as little as 6 hours but it always catches up to me.
Welcome to womanhood....

I think that if enough estrogen is taken to replace androgen, it shouldn't be an issue. Progesterone may make one sleepy as could be the case for cyproterone acetate (i.e. fatigue, tiredness) as well. To sleep that much, as far as I'm concerned, is ok as long as it doesn't last too long. If this persists more than a few weeks, I would be concerned and talk to my doctor about this. On low estrogen, I was quite sleepy and depressed. Increasing E resolved this issue for me.

For me I don't feel sleepy while I am awake, but since being on HRT I need/want more sleep more at night. Roughly one hour more. I just assumed because things are changing, I need the extra time.
