Title: Hi from Meghan
Post by: meghang on March 19, 2015, 07:31:46 PM
Hello,I am Meghan and I am a 36 year old that lives and dresses as female 24/7.It was a long struggle for me knowing I felt I was really female and it was finally 2 years ago that I had enough.Came out and it was hard for my parents whom are in my life still. It is still hard for them to this day knowing the old me is gone, slowly adjusting to the new me.It got to the part I could not live anymore and considered suicide thinking it over.I am happy as Meghan now and enjoy living and dressing as female 24/7.I am married to a great wife Christy and have a son Chase that adjusted to the new me very well.Plus they have been good to me and also say I am much happier.

Hiya meghan!

I'm new here as well and am trying to take some time out to lend support to other people that need it. Suicide is never the answer to our problems and im super stoked to see that you found another way :D I can relate a tad bit tho being bisexual and coming out to my parents 22 years later was a bit of a thing for them but they accept it as well. It's really great to hear that your son is accepting the new you! Hope you find what you are looking for here! :)

I do see a therapist that diagnosed me with gender dysphoria for 2 years ago now.My son sees me as a great dad still and I am happy now.He does get teased and picked on once in a while, school does deal with this very well.He is 16 years old and a good kid.My wife does like the new me even more,we go shopping and get our nails done together a lot.Her family has been great so far about the changes. My parents,it is going to take time to accept the new me and have not done this yet.I am not going back to the old me at all.

I came out in October of 2012 and started my new life as a woman in January of 2013.Workplace,it was not easy at all and lost my job.I am lucky, did find a new job after I was fired. So far it has been transgendered friendly at my current work place.
