I can't seem to find a definite answer here so sorry if it's been answered...
I was just randomly looking around and found
and
and was wondering...does this sorta stuff actually work? Or is it just like a placebo effect?

Can words whispered into your ears while you sleep give you bigger boobs? Somehow I doubt it :P If it worked I don't think it would have been a secret for long :P

Hi All I can say from experience that a good qualified Hypnotist can work wonders .In the year 1999 my company brought in a no smoking on site policy and I was an exceptionally heavy smoker I could not go more than 30 mins without a ->-bleeped-<- .I tried patches chewing gums and all sorts and nothing worked .Then occupational health said that they had a hypnotist that they would pay for .well I did not for one moment expect it to work but as the firm was willing to give me time off to have the treatment and pay for it what did I have to lose .When he turned up at my home to start the treatment He told Me I dont want you to ease up on your smoking or try to stop on your own I will tell you when you will stop smoking .The treatment was once a wqeek for 4 Weeks and a hypno tape to listen to every night .The most shocking thing was the last session I answered the door to him with my usual ->-bleeped-<- in my hand .He looked at me and said that is the last cigarret you will ever smoke .he put Me under and from the moment I woke up I had no desire to smoke and absolutely no cravings or withdrawal symptoms and I am still totaly smoke free and being around smokers douse not bother Me

Before HRT, I was able to get a very small amount of breast growth from self-hypnosis. I didn't spend any money. It was really just an experiment, though I was surprised that anything happened at all.
Don't pay anyone anything. It's easy to learn on your own. If you send me a PM, I'm happy to tell you what I did, absolutely free.

In my personal experience, hypnosis isn't much different than meditation. Did you know that Tibetan monks can mediate and lower their body temperature to the point where modern medicine does not know how they do it, or how they aren't suffering problems from it? It's something that would take a lifetime to master, but I believe learning meditation or self-hypnosis would be a good way to reduce stress and promote overall well being. No one can say for sure if it makes you grow, but I have heard some pretty impressive stories about meditation. The key is detatchment from worry and care and being focused on positive energy. A lot of it sounds like mysticism, I can't explain why it makes me feel better and I still think 'chi' and flow can sound a bit goofy being explained in text, but I also feel it's helped me in my life and it's certainly not a harmful way to spend your time.
