So yesterday I went to Dr. Satterwhite at Brownstein & Crane surgical services and got my initial consultation for SRS. During it he explained the whole surgical process, recovery time and risks as well as the things that I need to do before we can finalize my chosen date. We are shooting for late August/early September as of now and the scheduling is still pendind my letters which I will be getting from my health providers over the next couple weeks. Once I have done that the date will be set and will be pending insurance approval. After insurance approves it, which usually takes about a month, they will confirm the date with me. I also need to begin genital electrolysis which sounds scary... Face hurts bad enough, I am just anticipating worse..
Anyways I am super happy and excited, but still feel overwhelmed with the amount of time, energy and financial burdens ahead of me to prep.

Congratulations!!
I'm curious, did they recommend electrolysis down "there?"
I know the process varies from surgeon to surgeon, but I'm glad I didn't require it.
Damn, electrolysis was worse for me than getting my tattoos and piercings.

Hope you can give a review after surgery. I am scheduled for January and would like to know how it goes for you.
