Hi everyone.  I'm starting to contemplate subtly changing my appearance.  One of the things I have considered is bleaching the hair on my forearms.  I have very fine hair there and would like to not shave it but would like it to be lighter.  Has anyone else ever tried this?  (I thought about using a product like Jolen.)  Or is this a bizarre idea?

Yes, I used to do that pre-HRT.  It worked quite well.

I'm really interested in knowing how you could go about it without getting too much bleach on your skin?

I suppose some people bleach their moustaches so it must be possible...

Something that has always interested me is why woman would choose to bleach their mo's when they could just get them ripped out....um maybe I've just answered my own question here :P

I do use Jolen and bleach my arm hair, rather than shaving it all off.  In fact, I did it for my avatar pic.  Can you see the hair?  It does not burn or bleach the skin when used according to instructions.  It's pretty cheap, so I'd suggest using it for, say, 3 minutes, and then check the results.  Do it a little at a time until it gets to be like you want it.  If you turn your hair albino, it will look funny.

Have you tried an epilator? Target sells an Emjoi one for about $60 which works great, about 10 minutes once a week for hand, arm and underarm hair. Really saves time and money on shaving and creams.

Pre-transistion no one ever asked about no hair - also kept my leg hair off with a larger epliator from Emjoi, and I had the always available excuses, skin care, convenience, being a runner/hiker - many male one do this for physical therapy and injuries.

   I would recomend Jolen It work well for me, Just follow directions in the box. 8)

Hydrogen peroxide works quite well too.  If you know how, you could even use it on your hair.  If you don't know how, don't even try.
