about 2 days after electro I get breakouts of acne on the area my electro worked on. I know that I shouldn't touch the area, but it can be a little careless, especially if itches. It clears up with a little time and some acne cream. Is it the electro, the shhaving after less than 24 hours, or something else. I like that the hair is going away, but the acne has become a pain in the @$$ (I still hate facial hair more). i'm going in for another 2 hours this week ans would like some tips.

Don't use shaving cream for a few days after electrolysis. Use body soap that's allogenic like Neutrogena Body Wash.That is what worked well for me. Also witch hazel and bacitracin before going to bed for two days help with healing. Also wait at least 24 hours before applying any makeup as the pores from the hair follicles stay open for that long.

I shave the morning after electro (facial hair is a huge dysphoria trigger for me, the one that landed me in the therapists office). I am using Kirkland body wash, but I have a soap called clearly natual that is much easier on my skin. I have witch hazel, but no bacitracin. I  te 34 hour rule for make up, but didn't know i had to wait a couple days to use shaving cream. I just want it to be gone yesterday,(yes I mean both the beard and the  other "it")

I have this problem as well, and don't need to shave anymore, but it is still an issue.  Acne cream as you mention helps.  I do a warm compress after 48 hours, which seems to help.

The shaving is likely causing the issue, the only time I had the same problem is when I shaved before the treated area healed properly. Be careful as you may end up with scarring. I suggest buying alcohol wipes and using them regularly on the treated area for a day or two after treatment to help keep the risk of infection low.

I hate facial hair :(

Yes exactly!  Electrolysis leaves all these raw holes in your skin that are just waiting to get infected so good aftercare is really important.  I was working for all of the time I was having electro and sometimes I just had to grit my teeth and go to work looking less than my best.  Fortunately I had an understanding boss so I didn't have any problems in that direction.

If you must shave, use a foil type electric shaver if you can instead of a blade. My face is so swollen a day after a 3hr electro session that I cannot go out of the house at all. In my case the swelling takes about 36 hours to go down. After that it looks like a bit of shaving rash. I certainly can't use a razor for at least a week in the area treated.
