Well. I guess the cold shoulder of abandonment hits hard. I couldn't live a lie anymore and took a chance. It's all right I'm a rugged little camper, but the really of how some view trans is hard when it hits home. It's weird I did it on the spur of the moment, then after it sunk in what I actually did and sending pictures of me I realized it probably was going to have this outcome. It's all right it's more important to move on because this is so much who I am. I think I finally buried Steve may he rest in peace.

well, there is always a chance , she popped into my life after 20 years on Facebook , which surprised me so who knows

I personally like the twin explanation, you will be essentially the same person... like your female twin... with still the same sense of humour etc...
Well its up to you what you say since you know them best... you might think about writing a personal text, showing some info and giving them some time... pflag recommends to keep them in the loop somewhat, giving them reminders of holidays etc... if you want that...
and if you want to talk to someone in person you can call one of those for example, people are there to help and give advice (there are many others):
