Title: the Struggle ;-;
Post by: AshBear on April 14, 2015, 01:03:42 PM
Okay, so I came out to my family about being trans last month (keep in mind, I'm only 16).. and well I'm still getting taller and more broad with every passing week but I don't think I'll be able to get any form of puberty blocker nor begin hrt until I turn 18.. which honestly is very frustrating, as I'll likely not be able to 'pass' once I do transition.

I'm not sure how to approach my mother to request some form of hormones, as I've never done this before (yes, I know that sounded better in my head :P)

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, I just needed to rant a bit.

You might have a look here for a few thoughts:

You might look for a gender therapist, who could guide you along the way...

Ahsbear,

Is there a school counselor you can trust that can help you get access to a gender therapist? Perhaps the school counselor and or gender therapist would be able to discuss the options with your Mom.
