Title: Closing the hole

There are times like right now when I feel so much wrath towards the v.hole that I just want it closed. When I asked the surgeon who is willing to do my hysterectomy that if he could close it, he said that I wouldn't be able to pee if he did that? Ideally I would have liked to do both the same time.
I have a question about vaginectomy/vaginal obliteration/colpoclesis ; basically whatever is possible but without affecting other things like peeing. Are any of these ok to have while having ovaries? I will be removing everything except ovaries in my hysto.

I don't know why that would affect your ability to pee because that's a completely different hole near the clitoris.

I have hear of guys getting their hole closed with a total hysto. I don't know if keeping your ovaries could be a factor in some way. GYN do like to put fingers in your hole and use their other hand on your tummy to exam your ovaries. Also removing the hole is not a simple surgery for what I have been told, can be a bloody procedure. I have heard of making the opening very small so it appears like you don't have it any more.

DarkWolf_7, that's what I was thinking too. I don't know why he said that. I am assuming he doesn't want to get another procedure involved when he's making the hysterectomy be covered with insurance.
mm, I don't have a clue if having ovaries will affect the closing of the hole either. I am a "complex case" as told by the doctors for being the way I am. I was told that my hysto is going to be done with the robot so they're not going to mess with down there (I hope) Is there a specific term to make the opening smaller? I was also thinking of seeing a urologist.

I believe they require a complete hysto to do a vaginectomy, but no, they don't just sew up the hole, and I doubt a regular gyno could/would do this. It really requires some knowlege and it has some risk from bleeding, which is why you want a very competent surgeon. Another reason why your run of the mill gyno wouldn't do this.
It is NOT a simple surgery. The usual surgery on trans guys involves taking the vaginal mucosa and sealing the walls, and then sewing the hole closed. It actually has a different name than vaginectomy.
