Title: Avatar, gender, etc.

I'm trying to edit my profile and there is no route for me to add an avatar nor can I select my gender.  Nor can I add photos to the gallery.  I've noticed that other new people can do this.
Is this normal or I am not doing something right?

you need 15 post if you wish to display your gender and add a profile pic
