Title: Shrinking feet?

I saw a thread about shrinking feet from HRT before and thought it was completely crazy. But the more I've thought about it, it might be true?
In early high school I was on average a men's 9.5 and recently I bought a pair of men's shoes, and the size that worked best was a kidding you not a 7.5.
What is the consensus on this subject?

Mine have definite shrank about 2 sizes. I use to be a mens 13 and now I fit into a women's 12 Wide. (Roughly equivalent to a men's 11)

At a guess it would be related to loss of musculature. I know men tend to have quiet beefy hands when they do a lot of manual work so presumably feet can likewise we beefed up if they are exercised in certain ways. In turn, being on HRT would probably reduce that. Just a guess.

I haven't had any, but some have reported shrinkage. Testosterone causes thickening of the connective tissue, so could happen.

Yeah, it's happened for me. Down to an 8 from a 10.
My feet and hands are all bony now. All of that mass from my lower legs has moved ... straight to my wobbly thunder-thighs! :~o

I was the ole reliable a Men's size 10 1/2 guaranteed to fit. Today it is fairly certain a woman's 10 1/2 will fit.
Now.... If only I can get a half size or more smaller where all the cute shoes and boots live :(

The consensus depends on whom you ask, but all I know is that the consensus of my actual feet is they're about a size smaller. :) Which I am quite sure of b/c I have shoes from pre-transition and shortly pre-HRT that do not fit anymore, and my relation to my wife's sizes in various shoes that we both try on has gone from about a size and a half bigger to a half size bigger. (So unless her feet grew out of the blue...)

I've dropped 1.5-2 sizes. It's nice in that it is easier to shop for shoes now, but it really creeps me out because I feel like it shouldn't be happening.

I used to take a US Men's 10 in everything. Now I require the equivalent of US Men's 7, and whenever I try on an old pair of boots for fun, it's as if my feet get lost in them.

This is a comforting thought...it'd be nice not to hear "You damn Clydesdale!" every time I trip over something.

When i first started to transition, I wore a women's 10.5-11. (men's 9-9.5)
After a little over a year on hormones, I'm now wearing a women's size 9.
So yes, they can definitely shrink! :)

All you ladies whose feet are shrinking-roughly what age were you when you started transitioning?
I ask cause my girlfriend is size 14 shoes (I've got a tall lady!) in men IIRC and is in her early 40s but can't transition yet. Just trying to figure out what we can expect when she goes on HRT.

My experience is dropping one shoe size (nine to eight) and becoming an inch shorter over the years. I am not too excited about getting shorter as that must come at the expense of cartlidge thickness which is better maintain into old age.
Transitioned at age 29.
