Well my father caught wind that I am transgender and now wants nothing to do with me. SO I have to move to Texas to live with my mom. I feel like my life is out of control right now, but hopefully if I can find a doctor there this will be just the push I need to start moving towards becoming independent from both of my parents and starting to live my own life.

Sorry to hear he can't bring himself to be more accepting. Let us know what area of Texas you're headed to, and maybe someone can chime in with recommendations for doctors, therapists, etc.

I'm sorry you had to experience that, rejection sucks. Especially when you're rejected by someone you thought cared for you. I'm happy you can find light in the dark, though. Stay positive, don't be swayed by others. You are who you are, and that's all you can ever be.

So very sorry that has happened, but it might work out better if your mother is more open to you being trans. I could never understand how any parent could throw their child out - I hope your father sees the error of his ways at some point.

Sorry to hear about your dad.
My dad doesn't talk to me right now so I can relate. He may not talk to me ever again so I'm prepared for that.
Give him some time and space. Maybe eventually he'll come around. Or maybe not.
In either case your mom supports you and you can live your life.

Paige... I am sending you so much love and as many hugs as the internet can hold right now; that is quite a rough situation. I am so glad that you can at least be safe with your mom, though I can imagine that things still hurt so much right now. We are all here for you, and I'm sure that many people on this site will be able to help you out once you get settled in Texas. I am sure things must feel like they're spinning out of control right now, but I promise everything will be okay, eventually. Especially if you have a good support system in your mom; don't be afraid to lean on her. <3 I had to cut ties with my dad completely, so if you need to vent or anything of the sort, I'm here for that, too.

I'm sorry this happened. Its been rough on two of my sisters. It sounds like your mom is more accepting though. I would focus on that. I've been focusing on the good news and not the bad news (which fortunately there hasn't been much of).

Hus, your dad sounds like a jerk right now, but maybe he'll come around, if he doesn't, he's not interfering with your life anymore. I think you will be okay if mom is supportive and you live in (or close to) a big city. If you live in rural east Texas, I feel sorry for you, but it will be better than living with your dad.
