Well yesterday I met with the doctor for the first time. I was honestly really lucky finding someone that does HRT in West Virginia. I found out though that not only does he do HRT he has been helping transgender patients for about 40 years! The staff and doctor was so friendly and refereed to me not by my birth name and gender but by Gwen and female pronouns. I honestly felt so welcomed, they even told me that once I go full time that there was nothing to fear from them or their other patients they are all accepting and supportive. To top this all off I finally got started on HRT. I was given Estradiol and Spironolactone. Though they mentioned, depending on my lab work, next month I might go on some different types of Estrogen. The total visit only cost me $100 and the hormones cost only $13, though all future visits will be $50. I have honestly never been happier then I am now to finally be on the path to full reassignment and I wanted tell you all the good news too.

First I want to say how happy I am for you that your on the way to becoming yourself.
Second I was hoping I could ask you for some information about your doctor. They sound wonderful, and I am moving to west Virginia in just over a week and will need a doctor for hrt.

Wow it sounds like you are on the right path, I am so happy for you! I'm 4 months on hormones but I remember the beginning like it was yesterday. It's super exciting! Just remember to be PATIENT, these things (as wonderful as they are) take time to really work!
