Susan's Place Transgender Resources

I've begun HRT on this May, 13th, 2015.

I regret not starting sooner, but I'd regret not starting now, and now I find myself the best prepared psychologically, emotionally, socially, and professionally.

I'm in my late twenties, and located in southern California.  Would also be nice to get to know others in the area.

Although I originally wanted to go stealth, I think it seems more stress free, more affirming, more representing, and better able to help others if I just transition with transparency.

I plan to soon start a blog to document the process both personally (with regard to the mind, body, and interpersonal things) and philosophically.

I really care about other people and what they're going through, and I hope sharing my own point of view on how I've come to understand myself may help others understand themselves and find my empathy in their struggles.  I wish everyone the very best, and I appreciate you having read this!

Congratulations on this event :) Strap on Your seat belts - You are up for some roller coaster ride, no matter how prepared You might consider Yourself to be ;).

Oh, and we both started HRT on the same date and month, btw ;).

I hope that in expecting the unexpected I'm more prepared for that which I'm unprepared for

I think I've jostled myself up with so much anxiety at one point that I've excited out the other end with a certain resilient indifference, but I don't think picking myself back up would have always been possible without the care of others

Hey Ever, welcome to Susan's

So a day or two into HRT, nice, you'll soon feel the effects... FWIW I started around 2003? and then I wish I had started way back, certainly with E running through me from a littley...  ;)

But that was a long way back and treatment then was institutional and mind altering drugs... ::) well along those lines  :P

Hello Ever, welcome to Susan's :)  I started HRT when I was 38 and I'm 61 now.  I think wishing that we started earlier is a pretty common feeling around here, but the main thing is that you have started and you are on your way.
