Apparently no good deed goes unpunished. The cops trying to extort $2500 from her for not throwing her to the wolves is the real crime committed here. If it were me, I'd be filing several lawsuits.

This is the third time this month I've read a story that deals with a transgender women imprisoned with male inmates.
This is something our community needs to be proactive about. Instead of crying foul when it happens, I would like to see some sort of organized campaign for safe incarceration.

I read the story before. I don't understand why she was arrested? It had something to do with helping a teenager, but did she kidnap him/her or something?

I don't know I'm guessing because the teen was underage and in her house.
