According to Rated-M, the man formerly known as Larry Wachowski has officially completed his full sex change. Now, I'm not sure whether he had an actual operation, or if he just underwent hormone treatments (I'll admit to not being an expert in this area), but Larry is now Lana Wachowski. Say goodbye to referring to the writer-director duo as the Wachowski Brothers; I imagine from here on out, the PC thing to do will be to call them The Wachowskis, or Lana and Andy Wachowski.

Why am I NOT surprised?
Those films were way too queer to be made up from the minds of two str8 guys.
However, the news will be sure to kill their careers in certain constituencies.
But I don't see Melissa Etheridge or KD Lang crying about what happened after they came out.
If they are smart, they can turn this into a very lucrative plus, instead of a potential negative.

If they can still make brilliant movies, then I'm sure that no one will even care.
Doesn't anyone find it odd that the movie business never hurts when it comes to THE moral values?

Actually in Hollywood they do not mind the LGB so much but Ts are usually given a hard time. That is my take after conversing with people in the industry a few years back. Hopefully it has changed, at least a little, since then.

a. They transition after becoming known by the public as an actor/actress/director/producer/etc and transition in the public eye.
b. They are not passable.
I'm getting into being an actress now (I don't where it will take me) and being TS has definitely been a challenge, but more in regards to doing things GGs do such as sing in a female voice does not come naturally. In terms of people, things have been great, but then again I don't meet either of the criteria listed above. Although I did do one musical beforehand, that didn't make a difference since I'm able to work with somebody from before without him recognizing me. The real test will be if I'm ever outed. However, I think over time the more TS who do get into acting, the more likely it is to be accepted. I'm hoping to at least have an impact in that area.

Wow good for Lana. Honestly I loved Matrix 1 and V for Vendetta (the Matrix sequels sucked though)

It was all nudge, nudge and wink, wink for the last four years. She went through a messy divorce and has finally changed her name and come out officially.
