Title: Strap-On STP's: Are They Sanitary

I'm Brian, a teenage transman who is interested in buying a STP device.
I'm too young to buy things from the Internet by myself, as I don't have a credit card, which is where my parents are there to help me buy transgender products that make my life easier.
http://www.peecockproducts.com/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=40 (http://www.peecockproducts.com/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=40)
I was looking into this Peecock STP, because I like the idea of using it for several purposes, in fact, all three of the major purposes.
Although, my mother had a very righteous concern. If I plan to use the kind of STP that stays in my pants all day, is it sanitary?
Can anyone experienced with STP's (or perhaps even Peecock Products specifically) answer my question? Are strapped-on STP's sanitary?

think as long as you made sure and used a condom over it that it would be alright. (That is if you're referring to the sex aspect of sanitation).
I also personally don't use a stp that I wear continually throughout the day, because you can never avoid not having a little bit of moistness left down there after you "go" and that's just really uncomfortable for me. But I think as long as you were to wash it daily with an antibacterial soap it would be ok, despite having a very small amount of moisture that may be left behind.
I saw a video on YouTube recently of a guy saying his Peecock has developed what he believes to maybe be mold on the inside, despite washing it.

Mold? Yikes. I'll look into it.

^Yeah, I heard abou the mold too, very strange. I believe it is sanitary, as long as you wash it often. Silicone is kinda resistant to bacteria (can't find the right words to explain), as in, bacteria has a tough time living on it, so that's good. Still, make sure to clean it and don't wear it 24/7.

I was wondering about this as well.
How often should you clean it? Daily, but at what times?
For example: Wake up, put it on, walk around, go into a bathroom to pee, go home, take off, clean.
Would this be fine? To just clean it at the end of the day?
What about for when you go out all day and use it at a public restroom? Is it sanitary to leave that remaining 'dampness' there all day until you get home?

If the Peacock is 100% silicone than you should be able to boil it, no problem, for sanitation. Boil for 3 minutes.
Email the owner if you want to make sure that this is acceptable.

Personally I recommend getting some sex toy cleaner to clean it with! Helps get rid of germs & grossness but is also safe to be around your genitals.

As stated previously, you can boil it at the end of the day, or you can take it in the shower with you in the morning/night to clean it yourself. Even if you don't shower that day I would advise that you wash it with handsoap in the sink, and let it air dry.
While the 'dampness' can be uncomfortable, it's safe, since urine is sterile. One thing guys do is use a little toilet paper while they're in a stall to get some of the drops that are left. I know I have to do that sometimes, but I have a different stp. Also, make sure to shake your stp after use a little bit to get most of it out.

Boiling! Yes, that definitely sounds like the best option, and will probably be enough convincing for my mother. Thanks!

Wash it every day in the shower with you with soap. Dish soap works really well.
Wipe it if you can after peeing. But it's ok if you can't every time.
Also, if you're going to spend 300 dollars, don't waste it on a peecock. They aren't realistic at all, they get sticky and gross, they rip very easily, are flimsy, and have terrible customer service.
You can get better devices for less money. Eroticreations, freetom, TSW, all make better products for less, and if you want to spend a bit more you could get an even better Emisil or reelmagik.
