Hey there, I'm Threads/Cacie. I'm a 21 year old trans girl in Ohio. I found this site awhile back while googling some transition related things but haven't signed up until now.
I first thought about the possibility that I'm trans around late 2013 or early 2014. I didn't truly consider pursuing hormones or anything until earlier this year. I'm currently in the process of trying to get started in my transition. HRT might be further out than I'd like it to be so I'm going to try to take care of other things until then. My biggest concerns would be thinning hair and diet/weight loss. I'm planning to see a dermatologist about the hair soon though.
Lately I've been finding inspiration in reading, listening, and talking to other transgender people about their experiences. For the longest time I never understood why I felt so misunderstood and it was very isolating.
I'm really bad at introductions but I wanted to throw something together before posting elsewhere. I'll probably be posting around on here quite a bit from now on. I have a long road ahead of me.

Welcome to Susan's Place. Sharing stories is important in the therapy process. We see ourselves in others and it helps us to locate our issues and deal with them. Anyone who has had to live with this for any period of time has had problems as the results. Hopefully between your therapist and learning from others any problems you have will be resolved and you can go on to a happy life. Yes I think the "misunderstood" and the sense of isolation is certainly a trait most of us fully realise when the pieces all come together.
