?
Or any other insurance company in Australia.
If not, how much did you pay for your appointment?

I saw a gyno rather than a endo and got the standard rebate on a specialists appointment.. I was paying about $70 per appointment and was getting about 1/2 of that back.

They do, but I guess it's up the specialist, I had a recent appointment and the secretary asked how much to charge me and the endo said to bulk bill it. So I paid nothing.
I honestly cannot remember if I usually pay.

Most specialists will charge more than the Medicare rebate. Average out around 1/2 to 2/3 back although some do bulk bill.
If paying out of pocket means more time spent with me and more thorough treatment, I don't mind at all.

An endo visit in Sydney, $125 for 15 minutes before medicare . An implant brings it to a bit over $200 if I recall correctly. I think the first visit was more, but I can't remember.
What's it worth? Only my life. I'd never go anywhere else.

Obviously I'd still go but it'd take me longer to save considering what is it: you go once for a fist meeting and usually a second time once the blood results come through for a prescription? Something like that right [emoji14]

I've been quite a few times over the last year. I've been getting blood tests periodically to see how I respond to HRT and to check levels over time. I absolutely hate blood tests and I've had a lot of them.
I think I got one visit where the cost was around $500 or so, but I must admit I don't pay much attention and can't remember. That's before medicare rebate though. Best just call the office and ask.
You also need to take your psych letter or I don't think you'll get HRT.

If your GP is up for it, you could save time and ask for a blood test with a sex hormone assay, prolactin, liver, and glucose. Appointment costs would still be the same, but might hurry things up a bit. (Don't quote me on it though...)
