Hi there! So, well, I'm not really sure what to write here...
Well, I'm a 16 year old transguy from Australia. Atleast, I'm pretty sure I am. I still sometimes have doubts and things that sort of make me feel really insecure about my identity, but I think I'm getting better about it. I'm hoping to meet more people like me, to share experiences and make connections.
One of my biggest issues is that I didn't act atypically for my assigned gender as a child. Because my story isn't at all like the representations of trans people in media, it makes me fell...I don't know? Invalid? Like somehow I'm just 'fooling myself' into thinking I'm trans since I haven't always felt this way? I don't know, maybe I just tend to overthink things.
I chose my masculine name, Lawrence, about a year ago? Maybe a year and a few months. Very few people in my real life know, but all of my online friends know and they've been quite supportive.
So...yeah! Looking forward to learning more about myself and about all of you.

Warm welcome to Susan's Lawrence/Kaldwin
I'm Aussie too :)
I think we all tend overthink things, try by nature to fit a generic... but unfortunately not everything fits the archetypal box!
Welcome and look forward to seeing you about the forum's

Hi Lawrence, welcome to Susan's. As much as the media tries to portray us all one particular the way the truth is that each of us are different from each other. There is no one particular Atypical way. Some of us acted appropriate for our birth assigned gender and others, myself included, didn't. I look forward to seeing you around the forums. Good luck and Hugs

Welcome to Susan's Place. Many times our younger behavior depends on how you look at it. In my case, I was well behaved, clean, liked my clothes nice looking, I enjoyed the company of girls and as the oldest I took care of the younger kids. To my parent I was a very mature little boy. I didn't figure out my gender issues until I hit puberty and I thought this was something that hit me out of the blue because I had my parents attitude about my childhood as well. It was only much latter that I looked at my childhood and understood there was a good deal of feminine behavior in my actions.
Does it may any difference now - no. We know what we are and we know the treatment we need to solve our problems and that's what is important.
