Susan's Place Transgender Resources

Hey everyone :), I'm Nathan. I'm a guy born with a female body who is introducing himself for the first time with the right name and pronouns. Right now I'm starting a new year in school and today in art class my teacher told us to separate ourselves into two lines consisting of males and females and told us to fit into what makes us most comfortable with. That alone made me smile but I still lined up in the female section since there is no way I'm going to give hints and stuff away like that.

I'm still struggling to make myself more optimistic and happy in this extremely anti-LGBT+ home I live in. Due to the way I dress and act, my parents keep telling me to be more like a "girl" (gender stereotypes  >:( ). However I stay happy by telling myself that I'm not broken nor it is anyone's fault, and surround myself with my interests which includes music and the internet (you should see my collection of rare pepes.)

I'm really glad that a great website like this exists or else I don't think I would be alive right now. Thank you Susan's Place for helping me realise who I really am and to accept it.  :D

You might think about a good gender therapist... a supportive person to help you along...
if they are not supportive look for another...
you might tell at home you want counseling, for emotional purposes, and pick someone who has gender on their list...
if its connected with emotional issues or depression it might be covered...
or you might ask at plannedparenthood, a lgbt center or a teacher you trust for counseling and a referral...

its a step by step process, but many have done it before and succeeded... just take the time you need but keep at it...
and it can be fun to explore a bit...
