Title: Hi everybody :)
Post by: November Fox on August 23, 2015, 06:01:09 PM
Hi everyone,

I'm November Fox, which is the call-sign of a plane I fly now and then. I was born biologically female, but have always been a tomboy, and have always been more inclined towards masculinity.

Earlier this year I thought I was "genderfluid", but I've come to question that label recently, since I frequently feel more comfortable with my male self than with my female self, especially with regard to my body.

Since, my life has been a huge adventure of sailing through the inter-webs looking for other FTM's, listening to their experiences, and see if I can figure things out for myself. Offline I was lucky to find a trans-community in my area as well.

I look forward to educating myself more on here and getting to know you ;)

Welcome to Susan's Place. I don't know if you have looked at therapy yet but if you haven't, youtube has a series called "the transition channel" that will provide you with the questions used to examine you in therapy. For the most part we are a mix of male and female and even though I am happy with my surgery, I still have the old me as well. I don't consider myself fluid, just a skilled woman. You will find people who ID as just about anything you can imagine so what ever you decide you are, there should be others here to talk with.

Warm welcome to Susan's November Fox

I fully understand your situation and I think there is a lot to be said for self identification, however sometimes if your emotional drive either one way or the other is split, some professional help to help you find yourself is important. Please ask away here and please feel at home here with us as we are all on the same journeys,  I do look forward to seeing you about the forum's.

I am in therapy currently, although for something else originally, she's not a gender therapist. She's LGBT herself though and that really helps, she's very cool about this topic and open minded. But we have talked about how it might be a good idea for me to find a gender therapist.

Dena - thank you! I am definitely going to check that out. I'm currently soaking up all the info I can get.

Thanks again for the welcome  ;D
