Hi everyone! so heres the deal. I'm soo close to saving up money to get a good epilator and I read somewhere a good one ranges $500-600? But even so, money isn't a big issue for me. I have searched for some but I wanted to come here for other opinions, especially from my fellow sisters.
so heres a little bit about me:
I've been on hrt for 3 months now, I'm 21 years old, hispanic with bad genes. I suffer horribly with body and facial hair. I'm currently treating my face with laser hair removal and electrolosys on my mustache, yup gross and painful but I'm tolerant when it comes to pain and I'm just ready to start my next step which is removing my body hair.
It takes just 5-6 hours for all my hair to grow back and its HORRIBLE. I can't go out as my true self and I can't enjoy having fun without worrying that all my hair will grow back. I need an epilator that can help with this issue.
I also read somewhere that using an epilator will make the hair grow back more slower. Is this true? Can anyone point me to a good epilator? and any experience with using an epilator is appreciated. Money isn't an issue for me :)
Thank you!

I've heard very good things about the Braun Epil silk 9. I just bought the 5 series and I like it, but I'm going to return it and get the 9. It's sub $150 and it's supposed to be pretty good.

I use a Phillips model that I purchased at Wal-Mart for about $40 and have had decent results. I bought 2 of them and now doing legs with one in each hand is so much quicker.

I would definitely recommend the Braun Silk-Epil 9579, while it may be more expensive than most epilators in the market. It has a lot of features and accessories to justify it, plus it can remove hairs from the entire body (arms, bikini area, underarms, legs), including facial hair.

I have never had good luck with epilators - always a lot of work and only marginal and temporary results. In-grown hairs were an issue from the start. I will admit that I haven't tried the latest Braun model but the only thing that has really worked has been professional laser treatments.
