"Transgender actor Laverne Cox is praising Miley Cyrus's 'epic trans moment' at Sunday night's MTV VMAs, which included a performance with 30 drag queens and lyrics about marijuana.

Cyrus hosted the event and to close the show, performed her new single, "Dooo It, with the help of a group of transgender men and women:

That was nice to see...too bad this piece on it misgendered Cox in the second line of the post.

"Love this epic trans moment onstage at this year's #VMAs," said the Orange is the New Black star on his Instagram Tuesday."

When I read "his"

I completelly reworked what it was actually saying.

I thought it was talking about a guy (on his instagram), talking about what cox said about miley,

That explains it...still weird to do when you're posting about respecting trans people to instantly misgender the famous trans person you are talking about. I think huffpo at least has some sort of journalistic standards. After all, if you can't report the facts of a story, you can't successfully tell the story. Deliberate misinformation ruins all credibility.

they really don't have any credibility as regards trans issue. they're report a story or an editorial and state the facts , but say something that twists it to the perspective of the right. I was just trying to show the video.

I hope you didn't take my comment as me getting snippy with you at all. I love the philosophical questions and fun topics you post here. They are something I look for any time I log in. Thanks for posting about this and for giving me a bit of the low down on that site. I can be a bit mouthy at times...sorry.
