Title: Elevated Estrogen Levels

Typically my estrogen levels are around 150, and three months ago I had blood work done and they were at 200. My doctor had more blood work done recently (3 months later) and my levels are now at 600. More than 3 time the regular healthy level. I have been on hormones for almost 4 years without any real fluctuation at all. Why would my levels elevate so rapidly?
My doctor has decreased my daily dosage until things go back to normal.

Hi,
Welcome... I'll get to your answer in a moment but one thing, it is against the rules to discuss dosages. Blood levels are OK but not dosages... zGo to your post, hit edit and delete the dosage information.
Hugs

It's me again..
How soon after you took your dose can affect levels. What you ate around the time you took the dose can affect levels. Certain drugs and even foods can influence metabolism and affect levels. Poor liver function can affect levels. Variation between laboratories running the test and individuals performing the test can chage results even when the levels are in fact consistent.
Plus a number of other factors. Really, the difference between 150 and 200 is well withen normal analytucal errot so that isn't a big problem. As far as 600, that's only one result, I wou look don't worry to much.

Yea, that's true. I'll just take it easy for a few months and see where I'm at when I get my next tests done. Still really strange to me.
