Title: Hello :D
Post by: jesscutie123 on September 05, 2015, 10:41:45 AM
Hello everyone, im Jessica (can call me jess for short) im a 21 year old aussie and im proud to say that im a mtf starting transition soon. My life has been a living nightmare due to dysphoria causing so much trouble in my young life, at about 4 years old when I knew something was wrong with me, shortly after during school I knew I was more girly then the boy everyone saw me as, because of this I was bullied for the whole 13 years of schooling. My family was never supportive of my constant bringing up of gender related issues and would actually try to beat the behaviour out of me. That factor made it harder to come out to them (which I did last week) and basically they finally accepted it... I think.

I look forward to talking to everyone here and reading most the stories here already it feels right to open up and speak both my mind and my feelings.

<3 Jessica
P.S. its almost 2am so any spelling/grammor issues blame that.

Welcome Jessie.

I am also just starting my journey into womanhood. If you need anything, feel free to ask.

Now get some rest :)

Hi Jessica, welcome to Susan's. No worries, we totally understand. As your aware the Aussies will be back on later to welcome you too. Congrats on just starting your transition. My girlishness drew a good amount of attention to in school so I know how that it goes. I look forward to seeing you around the forums. Good luck and Hugs

I am also not the best speller in the world, but you can count on me for support and guidance. I have been on hormones for 2.5 years now and helping people is my favorite. Best of luck and get some sleep! :)

Hi Jessica,
Welcome to Susan's. It is good to see more Aussies joining, where abouts in our little island are you from?

I have also recently started on my transition and come out to my friends and family, with mostly positive results (it doesn't do to dwell on the negative).

One of the first things I did was get a copy of The Transgender Guidebook (http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B008RLYG4A/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1441511744&sr=1-1&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70&keywords=The+transgender+guidebook) by Anne Boedecker, it has some great advice in it.

If you have any questions, just need to vent or a place to be heard all the boy and girl here are very friendly and happy to help others.

I had similar experiences with bullying when I was a child and for a long time lived in fear of my father and grandfather, whom had both expressed very anti-trans and homophobic sentiments. Fortunately my father proved me wrong and has told me he just wants me to be happy.
I can only hope your parents are as accepting.

I hope to see you around the forum and know that we are there for one and other.

Hugs,
Bobbi (Or Sarah... Still haven't made up my mind)

Thanks bobbi, Im from a little town named kingaroy in queensland (about 3 hours away from brisbane). Part of me wishes that the bullying never happened but its because of it I feel much more comfortable with myself and the life I know I should be having as the girl I am. Names is a tricky part I do admit too... I have always felt a connection to my name jessica, beats my male name in a heartbeat lol (I do not care about that part of me anymore cause Im living in the here and the now). Hugs and kisses to you :)
