Ishould write a way longer post telling this news, but, school just started... I hope to post a longer blog post soon.
So, I finally started HRT on Friday!!!!!
For now, my doctor (an amazing person, themselves part of the Gender Queer community) at Apicha prescribed me to start with Estradoil and Spiromolactone (I don't know if I should write the exact MG). I am not expecting any physical effects for weeks, but it definitely managed to calm me down Psychologically.
However, I did get immediate side effects. I have to urinate a lot, and that I was prepared for.
But I also started sweating a lot, mainly for the first few hours after taking it. I am drinking a lot, so I am not afraid of Dehydration. I am just wondering if anyone else experienced that, and if it's normal.
Because of the long weekend here, I can't really contact my doctor until Tuesday.

Yeah that's all normal stuff, reaching month 4 on HRT I recently had the same issues. the Spiro which is a diuretic means it makes you pee a lot, it is kind of a steady thing but it gets better after the first month. I was having sweat issues like that as well early on, mostly its just your body getting used to it. I think for me it after the first couple of weeks I could take the HRT every morning (I take the pill method) and my body would just go on without any issues.
Don't worry about that stuff though, the real worry comes later when you start crying at everything and anything haha it still happens for me, then your nipples start to hurt a lot and your hips will start to hurt too. It's so exciting and you lost a bunch of weight. Just exercise and eat healthy and you will be good, I don't know how old you are but I look much younger now than I did before. Seriously HRT is not magical but it definitely feels like it is. So happy for you girl!!

This is fairly common - it should diminish once your levels balance out.

The first 3 days were killer for me. The 4th day I woke up smiling and I NEVER smile ever first thing in the morning.

Many people take estro sublingual... its supposed to be less straining on the liver and help a bit with blood clots...
you might ask your doc about it...
you might also think about splitting the daily dose up in a few small doses, not only one or two big ones... that way levels might be more steady, which might also help with mood...
well congrats anyway :)

I had the sweating the first few nights too. The scent was strong but not my typical guy funk. It leveled off in a week. I referred to that period as the exorcism, lol:
