Hi, I'm Ashley. I'm almost 16 and I'm a MTF. My parents won't let me start HRT but they are considering letting me on t-blockers. If I look the same as I do in the pictures a few years from now, how well will my transition be? Or like how's my face? Is it too masculine?

Hello ashley, congrats on starting the t -blockers and the beginning of your journey. Regarding your pictures, you are still young and as you get older your features will change anyway. And with you starting the blockers you wont have the male characteristic in the process.. But when you are able to start hormones your features will become softer.. So with that being said i wouldnt worry about it too much because changes will happen anyway.. But if you wanted to look feminine now what you could do is reshape your eyebrows to a more feminine shape and to soften your skin use day cream to keep your skin soft during the day and night cream to moisturize during the night.. The diffence you get is amazing.. But apart from that i think your well on your way to becoming a happy healthy girl... I hope this helps and good luck with everything... X

Hi Ashley,
You will be gorgeous!
Very few teens are put on HRT, the best treatment available at the moment are blockers and then HRT at 18. Just try your hardest to be the lovely young woman you are.
I'm jealous!!

Your jaw is still not strong which will be a big help so I think your face with turn out feminine with the blockers. The lighting was poor when you took the pictures and it looks like you have acne. If so, you might ask to see a skin doctor to reduce the risk of scaring from the acne. Acne scares can be covered with makeup but in the future you may wish to appear without makeup sometimes and the better you take care of you skin, the better it will look.
The blockers will stop some of the acne but in my case, post surgical and on the proper hormones I still had acne for years. My skin is still very oily skin causing a few pimples and I haven't been a teen for over 40 years. It's a bit of a pain having a teen affliction without the age to go with it ;D
