Title: Body hair
Post by: iKate on September 18, 2015, 07:07:23 PM
Lately mine has really started to thin out, like getting wispy and thin. But I am surprised that it took 9 whole months on HRT for that to happen.

How long did it take for your body hair to start thinning out?

Other than legs, beard and arms I didn't have any body hair. The leg hair was and still is brown and the arm hair has always been sparse and white. I was lucky that my face was the only place the hair needed to be removed.

Nine months seems about right - I helped mine along with a few waxing sessions.

I guess around 9 to 12 months. I had a small amount of chest hair in one area. My forearm hair is light, small and not thick.

I used veet wax strips for my arms but my chest hair, ouch. I had to use the more heavy duty brazilian wax for that.

at 3.5 years I'm still pretty hairy, it sucks. I'm trying to embrace it but it's tough, thanks genetics lol. My arm hair and hair on my legs are like a lot less than before but my back hair is still pretty visible. I found this trimmer on amazon that gets razor like results so since I found that I stopped shaving most of my body, which has saved me so much money. My underarms are pretty sparse, that hair takes forever to grow. I can't exactly remember when my body hair started becoming thinner, it must of been at like 6 months maybe less.

Back hair went away almost immediately. I shaved it once and it never came back.

Never had any body hair to begin with but hair on my legs have started to take longer to grow in between shaves. Facial hair has reached the point of looking like vellus hairs again, thank god for my genes!! All this took about 1 month  ^-^

Might sound stupid, but how do you shave your back hair? I can't figure it out...

Easiest way is with a friend, but if you have two large mirrors and a back scratcher and tape it can also be done.
I honestly don't know when mine started to get thin, because I was lasering the heck out of it. I'll still shave my arms occasionally, after two years HRT, I don't shave nearly as often as I used to feel I had to. I'm getting close to "done" with my facial hair removal too ;)

Fortunately I don't have any more back hair anymore. It took about 14 months of HRT for it all to turn vellus, but at 3 months of HRT I started to see significant reduction in the dark hairs. Fortunately I was flexible enough to shave my own back and had been doing it 1-2 times a week for years prior to HRT.

What's the name of this razor?  Sounds pretty good.

Panasonic ES2207P Ladies 3-Blade "Close Curves" Wet/Dry Shaver

I just checked they're selling it for $20, definitely get it. If you're on hrt this will help immensely. Idk how well it work for those that are prehrt since the hair on T is a lot more course.

I was fortunate not to have body hair, and not a lot of hair on my arms or legs before starting HRT; after about a year, the hair on my arms and legs turned from very light brown to white (I had platinum blonde hair as a child).

Don't laugh, I taped a razor to a selfie stick.

Plus my hands can reach nearly all the way around anyway.

Somebody finally found something useful to do with a selfie stick.  ;D

I never really had any! i shave my legs once a week now, @7 mos. underarms maybe every 3 days. Depends on what I am wearing  :)

I am sure its genetics, my mom & sis have huge boobs & blond hair, Like no body hair. I am 2 1/2" on my bust now  :). I am 5'8". But alas, broad shoulders and tiny butt, Darn, poop. Those are the things you cannot correct :(
So I would rather be hairy and no boobs, You can fix that!.
I am blessed anyway& and I pray Y'all are too!

My family is hairy. My brother is much hairier than me and my female relatives have hirsuitism issues and I'm kind of surprised I had so much hair because I have had low T all my life.
