Title: Experiences with home IPL?
Post by: Promethea on October 01, 2015, 03:17:46 PM
While I'm still unemployed (waiting for a call after an interview I have a good feeling about, unless they decide to discriminate against me) and thus unable to afford hair removal, my mother said she's thinking of buying an IPL device that she'd let me use.

Specifically it's the Philips Lumea SC 2006.

I understand it's not effective as laser, but how effective is it when used at home? Is it a complete waste of money?

I bought a Tria a few months ago. Might be my imagination, but it seems like I've got a bit less hair. I'll know more in a few months.

I tried a few ipl devices when I was prehrt and they didn't work for me cause I had course body hair plus the at home ipls don't carry a lot of power. I think ipl can work with like the bigger machines at salons cause those are way more powerful. I'm dying to get a tria since that's an actual laser.
